Rentals - Chalet Le Mélèze

Chalet Le Mélèze, one hour's drive from Geneva, is one of a small group of traditional chalets, (La Clairière) within a private park. It has an outdoor swimming pool (in the summer), games court, games room and private parking. In winter, ski busses to and from La Clusaz (2.5kms) and other neighbouring resorts, stop at the entrance to La Clairière.

La Clusaz one of the main Haute Savoie resorts, a typical Haute Savoie village, part of the Aravis region, with plenty of ski lifts accessing a wide range of slopes (highest 2616m), excellent ski schools and equipment hire, good restaurants and shops. In summer, the Aravis region offers superb hiking, climbing, canyoning, para-gliding and mountain biking. There are several golf courses within easy reach, one in La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand, and Annecy, with its historic old town, smart shops and large lake (water sports in summer) is half an hour away.

Chalet Le Mélèze has one large double bedroom (can be made into two singles if required) with an ensuite bathroom, one further double bedroom with en-suite shower room, and an attic bedroom with two single beds (overlooking the sitting/dining room. This bedroom is not recommended for children under 5).There is also a double sofa bed in the sitting room if needed.

A small but fully equipped kitchen (washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven, stove), separate WC in the hallway, private ski/garden room, and small private garden.There is also a flat-screen television set with local stations and some satellite stations. The chalet comes provided with house linen and, in winter, firewood for the open fire in the sitting room.

The village of St Jean de Sixt itself has an excellent boulangerie, traiteur, small supermarket and very helpful tourist office all within walking distance of the Chalet.
